China succeeded in the raids arresting 500 people

In China, police have arrested over 500 operators throughout the past week around the city of Shanghai after a sequence raids on gambling parlors in the city.

As said by a report in the Shanghai Daily newspaper, the Shanghai Public Security Bureau announced that police went inside of 2,254 organizations in the city of 18.5 million residents and found prohibited gambling occurring at 243. Officers eternally shut down 135 parlors that didn’t acquired the obligatory business licenses whilst momentarily closing down 54.

Wang Chen, the Minister for the State Council Information Office stated that the spreading of information regarding gambling was one of the main threats against China’s 253 million Internet users. It came 3rd on his list behind the spread of rumors and the overstatement of news but ahead of incursion of privacy and virtual aggravation. The playing of harmful online games was 5th on Chen’s list after fraud and the selling of inferior goods.
