The most recent yearly National Annenberg Survey of Youth indicates that the frequency of young Internet gamblers stays at the low levels experienced after last year's "steep decline." First implemented in 2002, the yearly study is often examined as a reference by US officials bashing online gambling, including Republican Representative Spencer Bachus.
The latest report, issued at the end of November 2008, says that following last year’s steep decline, card playing for money on the Internet has kept its position at the same low level amongst both high school and college-age males. The level of card playing for money at least once a month on the Internet amongst male youth remained same in 2008 as in 2007.
