Interest in the Isle of Man as an online gambling authority has caused the Treasury starting up the Gambling Supervision Bill 2008, which is first and foremost designed to provide for the Gambling Supervision Commission to develop into a constitutional board. It also increases on the establishment, standing and the implement of functions of the commission, but doesn’t require changing the existing authoritarian purposes, reports Isle of Man Today.
The Commission is going to examine and control with the formerly framed legislation.

Additionally, the Treasury has taken the chance to appeal a several minor matters that have come up from application of the existing legislative structure.

Sponsorship of the Gambling Supervision Commission was moved from the Department of Home Affairs to the Treasury in 2007 and this new ruling is designed to place the commission on a comparable position to the other authoritarian bodies allied to the department.
