Kentucky state government domains
 October 16, 2008, 8:27 am (3 years ago)It was reported on Thursday morning that Judge Thomas Wingate's conclusion in the attempt by the Kentucky state government to take over 141 global online gambling domains has been postponed due to the problems in computer at the Franklin Circuit Court in Frankfort, Kentucky.
After hearing broad disputes last week from more than 2 dozen lawyers representing interested parties in favor of and in opposition to the state's initiative, Judge Wingate delayed his judgment to Wednesday afternoon, October 15, stating the intricacy of the case and the possibility for its broad-scale influence as a precedent in Internet cases.
Christine Richards, secretary to Judge Wingate told lawyers and media late Wednesday afternoon that because there had been some problems in computer, the judge's conclusion would only be announced Thursday.
The Poker Players Alliance has not been inactive in the break, and reports that more than 2,000 opponents at the state of Kentucky's battle have now been sent from its site to the horseracing state's governor, Steve Beshear.
