UEFA football investigate irregular bettings
 October 2, 2008, 8:43 am (3 years ago)A foremost examination has been started by the UEFA football authorities after the signs of irregular betting combinations in 25 Cup matches, according to the Reuters news agency this week.
UEFA Secretary General Davis Taylor explained to the reporters: "There is a risk inside our game but we are not going to let irregular betting patterns or fraud influences the result of matches." Taylor spoke at the ending of a two-day conference of UEFA's executive board in France.
"The unit has to be entirely prepared from next season and is going to have professionals who are going to examine assumed irregularities in matches from European competitions," UEFA legal affairs director Gianni Infantino stated.
