Atos and UK gambling commission
 August 24, 2008, 8:42 am (3 years ago)Worldwide IT supplier Atos Origin has acquired a new contract with the UK Gambling Commission to put in systems that hold the Commission’s licensing and observance work for arcades, betting shops, bingo halls, casinos, gaming machine providers and lotteries, in addition to British-based gambling sites.
The company is going to put in Siebel 8.0 to supply the Commission with a single, advanced outlook of each operator for equally office-based and mobile staff, it revealed this week.
This latest CRM platform is going to supply Commission staff with the essential authoritarian information and intelligence at the right time and in the right place, explains Bill Butler, Director of Corporate Services at the Commission.
“After an aggressive procedure, we chose Atos Origin since it established that it comprehends our demands and has the abilities and experience to carry out,” he explained.
Anne Ware, vice president for Public Sector operations at Atos Origin, explained: “Having the correct information to hand at the right time is essential for all organizations. For the Gambling Commission, this latest answer is going to assist them to continue gambling fair and secure for all by making it easier to guarantee that operators are satisfying their needs.”
The Gambling Commission is the self-governing controller of all business gambling in Great Britain. It is a self-governing non-departmental public division body supported by the Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS). Atos Origin has a old connection with DCMS, the UK Government Department in charge of other things, Government policy on the arts, sport, the National Lottery and the 2012 Olympic Games & Paralympic Games.
