Casino News: Rugby New League Taken by Inside Gaming

St Helens Rugby League Club has announced that it has signed an agreement with online gaming provider Inside Gaming to launch rugby league’s first club-branded gaming website. The deal, which is also a first for British sport, will see Inside Gaming Limited supply and manage the new website.

St Helens chief executive Sean McGuire said of the deal, “We’re confident that the site will develop into a major new source of income which can be invested in the club to improve facilities and youth development.”

Inside Gaming chief executive Chris North claimed, “This is not only the first deal of its kind in Super League but also represents a new kind of agreement in British sport. Inside Gaming and Saints will effectively jointly own and manage the site, sharing profits as they grow.”

The deal brings together two players at the top of their respective industries. Inside Gaming is a prominent online gaming force and has clients including ADVFN Poker, Better Bookmakers and Heaven. St Helens are one of the most famous names in world rugby, and currently sit atop the Super League table having also recently beaten Huddersfield in the Challenge Cup final at Twickenham.
