Toronto police arrested 47 people and confiscated gambling tools and $12,000 in cash from four buildings where they claim that illegitimate gambling businesses were taking place.
The compulsory investigations were operated all at the same time, a police spokesman announced. According to the police, three of the four businesses investigations were in Toronto and the rest was in Pickering.

Nine people have afterward been accused of running a common gaming house and 36 accused and two young transgressors face charges of being located in a common gaming house.
