Homer more popular than Harry

A poll of 25 million American Facebook members who visit the Bets Go Wild application, shows that the Simsons movie’s recent success at the box office has bolstered the popularity of the cartoon star.
No fewer than 70 percent of respondants said that they prefer Homer Simpson to Harry Potter. The remaining 30 percent sided with Harry Potter as Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix continues to draw the crowds.
The Simpsons movie is also winning at the box office, grossing 72 million dollars compared to Harry Potter’s 17 million dollars. That said, it is The Simpsons first outing on the silver screen compared to Harry Potter’s fifth.
