Comer joins Pinnacle July 31, 2007, 2:11 pm (4 years ago)Stephen C Comer has been appointed to the Board of Directors at Pinnacle Entertainment Inc.
Mr Comer, 57, is recognized as a global gaming industry leader having worked for Deloitte & Touche and Arthur Andersen. Outside his professional life, he is involved in several charitable and civic organizations, including the United Way of Southern Nevada and the UNLV Research Foundation. He is also a board member of Southwest Gas Corporation. Daniel R. Lee, Pinnacle Entertainment's chairman and chief executive officer said Stephen Comer’s experience as an accountant and his knowledge of the gaming industry would make him a valuable addition to Pinnacle Entertainment. He added that Mr Comer was instrumental in transforming and improving the gaming industry during his years with Deloitte & Touche and Arthur Andersen. Mr Comer worked as managing partner and partner of Deloitte & Touche’s Nevada practice up to 2006. Previously, he established Arthur Andersen’s Las Vegas office. He worked in various capacities for Arthur Andersen between 1972 and 2002. He joined the company after receiving a bachelor's degree in business from California State University Northridge. Pinnacle Entertainment owns and operates casinos in Nevada, Louisiana, Indiana, Missouri, Argentina and The Bahamas. It is currently developing two new casinos in the St Louis, Missouri area. Another casino resort is under development in Lake Charles, Louisiana.
